Kronborg seen from the ferry - The blue and white ferry is Linjebuss International's Betula, and the naval vessel, F353 Herluf Trolle - 1968

A day in Scania – Sweden 1968

Up early and leave the house after breakfast, at about 8:30.

To Helsingør and across in fine, cold weather to Sweden.

Drive to Ignaberga and spend an hour there, then show Eva Barcayk Kristiansted Cathedral, and on to Ivö. Eat our sandwiches there about 4 overlooking the kaolin pit and the fine view. Three schoolboys are collecting but soon go. We collect until 5:30 when it is too dark to continue. Drive back with magnificent sunset and almost full moon.

A draught in the car makes Ulla Asgaard very cold.

Dreadful Swedish youths on the ferry back.
Home at 9. Tea and sandwiches before bed.
